    COVID & beyond

Breathing plays an essential role in minimizing risk and in the COVID-19 recovery process, and it is changing the way we live, move and train. That's why I have created this webinar – to give you all the tools you need to feel more confident communicating, supporting and educating your clients on optimal breathing strategies for prevention and recovery on the training floor and out into the world.

This is a pre-recorded webinar, that comes with a bunch of meaningful perks.

Your webinar package includes:

  •  2-hour interactive lecture

  • 45-minute breath-work & movement class

  • Breathing exercise glossary

  • Additional Resources: Best Breathing Practices: COVID-19 by Dr. Belisa Vranich

  • On-going access to the webinar member page

This webinar begins with a brief unpacking of what COVID-19 is and "what you should know" regarding implications and considerations for movement professionals and personal training.

We lay the foundation with an in-depth tour of the respiratory system, emphasizing the importance of the nervous system and the diaphragm's function in re-establishing safety to reduce fear and anxiety with a trauma-informed care approach.

If you're not assessing, you're guessing. You'll explore one of the most scientifically backed breathing assessments that movement professionals and personal trainers can implement right away. The B-IQ, founded by Dr. Belisa Vranich, is a functional measurement of respiratory capacity and is intuitive, practical and useful in training and can be adapted to a virtual session.

You'll gain in-depth knowledge on how-to guide and educate your clients towards minimizing risk of  exposure of COVID, a how-to-guide to discuss recovery considerations and the importance of training the breath, just like we do any other body part of a functional pattern.

You'll gain in-depth knowledge on how to support, guide and help your clients restore diaphragm function and increase lung capacity during the recovery process. The key to healthy and resilient lungs is to build up the ability to breathe deeply during any activity, not just while at rest.

Lastly, I walk you through different breathing techniques that can be performed as a corrective-based prescription in training or in your daily home practice to offer greater peace of mind.

Note: I am neither an epidemiologist nor pulmonologist, therefore please note this webinar is from the personal training scope of practice and is to be used for educational and informational purposes only.
